We visited Arches and Bryce Canyon national parks in Utah during summer break, when Porter and Nico were 13 and 11. We left right after Nico had a soccer tournament (Stockton?) and drove to Las Vegas. We stayed there for a couple days, quite and adventure for two boys of that age, staying at the Stratosphere and walking up and down the Strip. We visited Arches, and then stayed in a cabin in Bryce Canyon for a few days. With an altitude of between 8,000 and 9,000 feet, Nico had a bit of altitude sickness, but recovered very quickly.
On the way back home, we stopped in Park City, staying in a townhouse where we relaxed, played a bit of tennis, rode the tram, and spent time in downtown Park City.
A slideshow of our trip is below. More Las Vegas photos than the rest of the trip combined I think!
