We've been to quite a few places over the years (decades!) but realize that our many travel photos sit in folders on our computers, and that over time we tend to forget some details of our trips, especially the ones taken many years ago. Many during a time when you didn't just pull out an iPhone and snap as many photos as you liked. When you might actually have had to use use pen and paper to journal about your travels. And to use a camera with real film!
This site is an attempt to document and, to some extent, relive some of these trips with as many of the details that we still remember. What you will find here varies widely - from an approximate date, destination and a few pics, to (rarely), extensive day-to-day written entries and bountiful photos.
We created this site with our words and photos, but it is really for our family, especially our kids, Porter and Nico, who probably remember very little about the family trips we took when they were quite young. And for those they choose to share it with. And for other family and friends who may have been part of our trips or are just interested in where we have been.
Our list of trips is not complete. Rather, it is a work in progress that we will grow over time, not just to add new journeys, but also, as we piece together travels from many years past.
